Formed from the merger of the HG Group and BIS-ATG, Bilfinger Industrial Automation Services have been supplying PLC and SCADA based Integrated Process and Automation Control Solutions since the 1970s.

In recognition of the conflicts which may arise between project commitments and support requirements, we established a separate dedicated Service and Support team providing professional, responsive, skilled automation support for their customers.

We have regional teams of specialist automation service engineers providing skilled 24/7 PLC, SCADA and general automation cover across the UK.

Personnel changes at BIS in the UK

Following the acquisition of HG Group by BIS ATG, Duncan Hall is appointed as Managing Director of BIS ATG Limited. Over the next 3 months the acquired businesses of HG Group will be integrated into the BIS ATG legal entity and re-branded. Duncan will lead the integration and merger process and operate the combined operations as Managing Director. Rob Rushton, previously MD of BIS ATG, will continue to work in the business focussing on HSEQ performance of the combined business. The two previous principle shareholders of HG Group, Graham Stevens and Dave Henery, receive a warm welcome on joining BIS and will report to Duncan in the new business.

Bilfinger Berger Acquires HG Group

Bilfinger Berger Industrial Services increases E&IC expertise in the UK with acquisition of HG Group

Munich. 9 October 2012. The Bilfinger Berger Industrial Services Group (BIS Group) is acquiring the HG Group, a specialist in system integration and automation in the United Kingdom. HG Group has 100 employees across three operating companies which generate revenues of some EUR 15 million. This acquisition will further strengthen the BIS group's UK control and instrumentation business within BIS ATG. The companies will merge in January 2013 to form the market leading control and automation services company for the UK and overseas process industry. The companies have agreed to maintain silence about the purchase price.
